Join Invisible Institute journalists Maheen Khan and Sam Stecklow for a workshop with Prison + Neighborhood Arts Project on working with public records and data obtained through FOIA.

Building on PNAP’s fall workshop series on navigating the FOIA process, this session will focus on what happens after records are obtained: how to sort through information, work with public-records data, and use those materials in research and accountability work. Maheen and Sam will draw from Invisible Institute’s work with the National Police Index, which tracks police employment histories across departments through a large-scale public-records project.
